Ambar Lucid
Ambar Lucid is a New Jersey–born, Los Angeles–based vocalist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Drawing from her Mexican and Dominican roots, Lucid weaves English and Spanish lyrics together naturally, incorporating boleros and Latin balladry into her alternative pop and psychedlic sound to create a space that is both intimate and transportive. She considers her music a spiritual experience, exploring identity and emotional vulnerability.
She first broke through with her 2019 debut Dreaming Lucid project and song “A Letter to My Younger Self,” which has garnered over 33 million global streams. Follow-up projects Garden of Lucid and Get Lost In The Music further established her as a singular voice in modern alt-pop, earning praise from Pitchfork, FLOOD, and Ones To Watch. Known for her immersive and emotionally charged live shows, Lucid has packed venues across North America, and performed on KEXP and COLORS.
In 2025, she released El Jardín de Lágrimas, a deeply personal EP created between Mexico City and Los Angeles, alongside collaborators The Wavys, Jack Laboz, and Sebastian Torres. The project’s psychedelic soundscapes amplify pop hooks, English-language verses melt into Spanish-sung refrains, or boleros brush up against breezy stoned balladry. As she brings both El Jardín and new works to the stage, Ambar Lucid continues to turn her live performances into communal, cathartic experiences.
