Dead Meadow formed in 1998 in Washington DC, coming together to fuse their love of Led Zeppelin and Sabbath style riffs with the local punk and DIY aesthetic of their hometown. They became early pioneers of what would become the modern psychedelic rock scene and over the years have created a niche that only they can fill.
