The Dirty Nil
This Event is All Ages If there’s one rule people should follow when approaching the Dirty Nil, it’s this: Never tell them how to rock ‘n’ roll. Ontario’s Juno Award-winning trio is a finely tuned rock machine that is at its best when the members are pursuing their penchant for thrashy riffs, bashed out drums, and levels-to-the-max volume. And on their fourth album, Free Rein to Passions, the band followed their instincts down to the note to produce their most authentic work to date. Black Lips
This Event is 21 and Up Boasting an unapologetic southern-fried twang, with a clang and harmony that is unmistakably the inimitable sound and feel of the Black Lips. Their songcraft and stylistic evolution are as infamous as their now legendary live shows. Last year the quintet saw the release of 2020’s Sing In A World That’s Falling Apart via Fire Records. Resulting in their grimiest, most dangerous, and best collection of songs since the aughts. The result of two decades of impulsive living, wild nights, and determined attitudes make up the Black Lips. HR of Bad Brains
This Event is All Ages Paul “HR” Hudson is best known as the front man of the iconic punk band Bad Brains, formed in 1979. Early in his career, HR became interested in reggae and the Rastafarian movement. These pursuits transformed him, and he began to focus more on the spiritual nature of reggae rather than the fast lifestyle of the punk scene. In 1984, HR formed his reggae-rock band Human Rights, which has performed and recorded in various incarnations for more than three decades. Currently, HR performs with Philadelphia musicians Ezekiel Zagar (original McRad) and Josh Freshy as HR & Human Rights. The band has a refined yet organic energy that hasn’t been felt since the early days of Human Rights. Apes of the State and Sister Wife Sex Strike
This Event is All Ages Apes of the State is an independent folk punk band from Lancaster, PA. As a band, they are driven by DIY ethics with a goal of helping as many people as possible with their music. Their upbeat, mandolin driven songs encompass the full range of human emotion and cover topics such as love, heartbreak, student loan debt, regret, and overcoming addiction. Their most recent release, “They Can’t Kill Us All (2023)” is a 7” split record with Washington band Sister Wife Sex Strike. It leaves no room for questioning the band’s political message and evolution in sound while still sticking to their acoustic roots. Spiritual Cramp
This Event is All Ages Spiritual Cramp — completed by guitarists Stewart Kuhlo and Jacob Breeze, bassist Mike Fenton, Max Wickham on tambourine, and Blaine Patrick on drums — weaves together disparate punk strands into a furiously cool whole. The group, named after a Christian Death song, sounds like the Marked Men and the Specials locked in a death spiral, with a Lambretta scooter and a pair of low-cut oxblood Doc Martens plummeting into the abyss alongside them. Their outsized live energy, meanwhile, is all hardcore. Listed ticket price is inclusive of all online fees. All sales are final, please review before purchasing. No Refunds.
