Brett Dennen: Golden State of Mind Tour
This Event is All Ages Across his career, Brett Dennen has established himself as the kind of singer-songwriter who finds inspiration by digging into the nooks and crannies of the human condition—exploring pain, joy, sadness, and all points in between. If It Takes Forever (Mick Music), the California native’s eighth solo album and first full-length since 2021’s See the World, is no exception. The warm, immersive collection boasts deeply felt sentiments, underpinned by rich acoustic guitars and Dennen’s earnest vocals, in the vein of dusky Americana (“Golden State of Mind”), harmonica-driven blues (the Tom Petty-esque “Careful What You Wish For”), rootsy indie (“Don’t Go Talking”), and meditative folk-rock (highlight “Time To Wake Up”). If It Takes Forever emerged out of a tough 2023 for Dennen, as he was dealing with the death of his dad. “He was such a strong figure in my life that I depended on so much as both a dad and a best friend,” he said. “And I knew immediately in order for me to deal with his death, the best thing I could do was to make an album about it.” Listed ticket price is inclusive of all online fees. All sales are final, please review before purchasing. Will Wood: Slouching Towards Bethlehem! Tour
This Event is 18 and Up Generally associated with hallucinations and dead rats, singer-songwriter and pianist Will Wood has been described as something of a recluse, quote “because I told my publicist to.” Wood’s dramatic songwriting is characterized by a sense of humor that whiplashes between too dry to detect and aggressively absurd, as well as a combination of both intensely emotional and surrealist lyricism, and his solo performances follow suit. His work has only increased in popularity since beginning a hiatus after the release of his “musical suicide note” In Case I Make It, and the Slouching Towards Bethlehem tour is his first time playing live in two years. Will Wood lives in New Jersey, likes to read, and has three pet rats, named “Snooter Man,” “Mister Bubbles,” and “Bastard.” Listed ticket price is inclusive of all online fees. All sales are final, please review before purchasing. Earthless
This Event is All Ages. There’s an ancient Japanese legend in which a horde of demons, ghosts and other terrifying ghouls descend upon the sleeping villages once a year. Known as Hyakki Yagyō, or the “Night Parade of One Hundred Demons,” one version of the tale states that anyone who witnesses this otherworldly procession will die instantly—or be carried off by the creatures of the night. As a result, the villagers hide in their homes, lest they become victims of these supernatural Invaders. Such is the inspiration for the latest album from Earthless. “My son is really into mythical creatures and old folk stories about monsters and ghosts,” bassist Mike Eginton explains. “We came across the ‘Night Parade of One Hundred Demons’ in a book of traditional Japanese ghost stories. I like the idea of people hiding and being able to hear the madness but not see it. It’s the fear of the unknown.” Listed ticket price is inclusive of all online fees. All sales are final, please review before purchasing. No Refunds.
