“Songs That Changed Our Lives”

etix Songs 482251721753837

This Event is All Ages    This show is a seated  “supper club-styled” show (no dance floor) with four powerful women singers! Each singer will be doing favorite songs from many decades. R&B, soul and blues songs you most likely know from those cruisin’ in your car FM radio days, your “hangin’ out in record store days” Summer songs. Those and many more are the favorites you will be hearing live at the special summer Sacramento Blues Society celebrating our 45th Anniversary. “Songs That Changed Our Lives” stars Chrissie O’Dell, Dana Moret, Pinkie Rideau, and Tia Carroll  We asked these entertainers to choose songs that were important to them from each of the decades the SBS has been in existence. It’s our way of giving a visceral nod to all the years—the 1970s, the 1980s, the 1990s, the 2000s, the 2010s, and now, the 2020s. So many blues and roots music lovers worked hard to make the SBS emerge, last and still be going strong 45 years later in 2024.    Listed ticket price is inclusive of all online fees. All sales are final, please review before purchasing. The Red Pears

etix The 482431719905915

This Event is All Ages   Hailing from El Monte, a sleepy suburban town just east of Los Angeles, Henry Vargas (vocals/guitar), and Jose Corona (drums), draw their sound from the spectrum between the early 2000s New York indie rock and grunge scene to the cumbia and corridos that soundtracked their childhoods. After cycling through an assortment of lineups, mutual friend and bassist Patrick Juarez (bass) expanded their operation. Now a solid three-piece band, the emerging alt-rockers have come a long way from meeting at a local Battle of the Bands, practicing in their garages, and naming themselves after their favorite color and a pun on the word “pair”— a subtle nod to sonic inspirations The White Stripes and The Black Keys.   Listed ticket price is inclusive of all online fees. All sales are final, please review before purchasing.
