Zola Moon, Singer: Zola Moon is a powerhouse of Americana-roots-music and blues/blues-rock. A singer/songwriter with a strong smoky voice, she also plays a great harmonica. Hailing from Los Angeles, she has received rave reviews from magazines, newspapers, radio DJs, and web sites around the world. Zola has appeared and performed with Albert Collins, Etta James, Linda Hopkins, Albert King, Big Mama Thornton, Al Kooper, and Eric Burdon, among others. Zola has been performing for 30 years & released numerous CDs. She relocated to Sactown and has played several venues including 3 performances at the CA State Fair
Daryl Singh the Bass Pimp: From the East Coast, Daryl started playing Bass in the Bronx and toured in the 70’s with the Joneses (top 40 hit single “Sugar Pie Guy”.) Daryl has worked locally with Mr. December, Prophecy, Funk Factory, Duchess Wilder, and is currently with Zola Moon. Influences include Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Larry Graham, Doug Wimbish (Living Colour), and Sly & the Family Stone. Daryl plays all genres of music regularly – Blues, Rock, R&B. Funk is his first love.
Justin Morelli, Guitarist: Hailing from Washington, Justin moved to Grass Valley in 2018, sharing his smokin guitar licks from Nevada City to Sactown. As the self employed owner of Justin Morelli Construction Services he is busy, but not too busy to follow his passion for music. Often performing at various blues jams, Justin says he is “Paying my dues to play the Blues”
Bobby Hudson, Drummer: As an original member of Sacramento’s Rutabaga Boogie Band, Bob has been a solid drummer for decades. Proficient in playing blues, rock, and other genres he provides a constant & excellent backbeat. Highly regarded and in demand, the Zola Moon Band is honored to have Bobby as timekeeper.
