Savoy Brown
Savoy Brown
Ruf recording artists, Savoy Brown, are still rocking … 50 plus years after the band formed in London, England in 1965.

One of the first bands from the UK, after The Rolling Stones, to re-invent the blues in the mid-sixties, Savoy Brown, led by guitarist Kim Simmonds, continues to perform, record and influence today.

Modern rock music had its roots in the 1960’s while bands, such as Savoy Brown, helped lay the foundation by combining blues, rock and psychedelia. The band is a veritable history of music, and musicians, with multiple former members going on to form bands such as Foghat, or to play for groups such as Fleetwood Mac, Black Sabbath, The Kinks and many more.

Founding member, Kim Simmonds, has a star on the Rock Walk of Fame and is recognized globally as one of the world’s finest blues/rock players. Says Kim, “I enjoy entertaining, keeping the music alive and giving people inspiration”.

Many of the band’s original songs continue to be played on radio, TV and in movies. Shows including “CSI”, HBO’s “Vinyl”, and a recent Jimi Hendrix movie biopic, gave life once again to Billboard hits such as “Tell Mama” and “Train To Nowhere”.

These songs, and many others (from nearly fifty album releases), all hit high on the Billboard charts while Top 40 albums, such as “Hellbound Train”, made the band a major concert headline act.

The band has headlined on all the world’s finest stages, including the Royal Albert Hall, Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall and both Fillmores.

Kim explained, “I still write new songs and rehearse every day. I have a new album, “Witchy Feelin'” being released August 25, 2017, that we’re all excited about. It keeps the legacy going and makes each band show both a fresh, and vintage, experience at the same time.”

The 2017 tour will feature songs from the very first album, hit songs from the five-decade history of the band and songs from the upcoming new album release “Witchy Feelin'” (on Ruf Records).
Tommy Odetto
Tommy Odetto
Tommy Odetto first got the chills from music as a little boy when he came across Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, and The Beatles. As Tommy approached his teens, he discovered guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Deeply inspired, he picked up the guitar and never looked back. A few years later Odetto was a semi-finalist for Guitar Center’s King of the Blues. He was also featured in Guitar Player magazine as an Artist-Watch. After two successful stints with local bands, in 2016 he decided to pursue his dream of being a frontman.

Since the move to fronting his own band, Tommy has been fortunate to be invited to perform at Bottlerock Napa 2018, and has opened for bands like, Chevy Metal, Tommy Castro, Coco Montoya, Y&T, Walter Trout, Uriah Heep, Ace Frehley, Trainwreck with Kyle Gass (Tenacious D), Ana Popovic, Marshall Tucker Band and Robin Trower. He will be opening for Foreigner later this summer and touring with Blues Legend John Mayall. Tommy is also a regular fill-in for Big Brother and the Holding Company.

Only two years after stepping to the front of the stage, the Marin County native is celebrating his long-awaited sophomore release, Curses and Revelations. This EP is an unapologetic Rock and Roll record with themes of love lost, depression, addiction, recovery, self-discovery, and redemption. Five original melodic hard rock songs that highlight his raw, honest lyrics and peel back the curtain of the heart and mind of Odetto. Curses and Revelations features many standout guitar moments that are so passionate and soulful that it’s as if we are witness to a musical truth serum. Recorded at Studio 606 and produced by John Lousteau and Ethan Turner, this new work touches on everything Odetto loves: Hard Rock, Blues, a 60’s Pop mentality, with a Grunge era swagger.
