Vista Kicks’ debut LP is equal parts nostalgia and modernity

Vista Kicks is turning Harlow’s into their personal “Booty Shakers Ball” Nov. 25.

It seems to become increasingly difficult to stand out in music in 2017. Yet, there are plenty of musicians and bands that are making sure they get noticed. How do Sacramento natives Vista Kicks do it? That’s easy — they meticulously blend nostalgic 70s rock with the sensibilities of the working bands of today. Okay, maybe it seems easy on paper.

The long-haired quartet may call Los Angeles home these days, but they are Sacramento born and bred. It’s where they get that noted work ethic — our fair city is filled with hard-workers. Just recently, the band released their debut album Booty Shakers Ball. The album is filled with groovy, effortlessly cool rock ‘n’ roll that hearkens back to the days of the setting of Dazed and Confused.

Be sure to check out the record below because it’ll surely make its way into your favorites. Vista Kicks are having a hometown show at Harlow’s on Nov. 25. Info and tickets can be found here.
